I had a lovely couple of days exploring the local area and coastline at Old Post Office Villa. The compact and beautifully decorated accommodation had everything I needed, with a well-equipped kitchen. It served as a great base for exploring North Yorkshire. The location was convenient, with an easy walk into Whitby or the option to travel further by train. The nearby butchers provided delicious breakfast rolls at great prices.
The only slight drawback was the traffic noise from the busy road, especially early morning and evening. Additionally, the lack of parking was a challenge at times.

The walk to the nearby town is pleasant and takes around 30 minutes. The butchers next door serves amazing and affordable breakfast sandwiches. Amazing location in close proximity to the train station, making it easy to explore nearby attractions. Beautifully decorated and well-equipped house with a huge TV and access to Netflix. The bed was comfortable and the open-plan bath and shower were a luxurious touch.
The toilet being in the open plan bedroom may be a drawback for those who value privacy. The walk to the nearby attractions was along an unlit track, which could be challenging at night.

The property was beautifully decorated and had very modern fittings. The design of the cottage was exceptional, keeping the charm of the property intact. The cottage was spotlessly clean, which was a major plus. The information provided before our arrival was helpful, including tips on where to park. The location was perfect for exploring the local area and enjoying great walks. The nearby butcher's shop served amazing breakfast sandwiches. a relaxing and enjoyable stay.
The lack of parking was a major downside. On-street parking was virtually non-existent and very difficult to find.

The value for money at the Old Post Office in Whitby was absolutely worth it, with a stunningly decorated and well-equipped cottage that felt like home. The location was perfect for exploring the area, with great walks right from the front door and a charming pub just a short 5-minute stroll away. The staff, especially Christina and the helpful gent who lent us his Netflix code and bluetooth speaker, were friendly and attentive.
